UPDATE
I have’t been on lately due to exams but I happened to have written a ‘personal statement’ for some higher education thing. It’s just a draft or a raft copy It’s really something i had fun with.
DO NOT JUDGE : I’M NOT THAT BRILLIANT AT WRITING
Throughout my life I have always been put under whether it comes to work, sports or social events. I told myself that this is not something that I will put up with and every time I’m put down I tell myself it isn’t the end and I will do better the many times after.
I’m a goal orientated leader who is not put down by small things especially in such a tough world and that is why I’m motivated by failure and this motivation turns me a result orientated leader who has been digging deeper and working harder every time so that I won’t produce this failure again.
People might call me stubborn or stiff-necked and this is because I do not give up on what is achievable regardless of what it takes to reach that goal.
I am no means what they consider a big fish but when it comes down to hard work and motivation I ask myself, ‘do you want to be a big fish in a small pond’; I don’t. I want to be that big fish in the big pond and regardless of the effort and work and motivation I have to put in, I will never and again nevergive up on anything which is achievable.
In my days in high school I have worked hard but at the same time given up and in year nine even till now, I know that hard work brings results and there have been many times in which I have worked hard and I achieved them. For example in year nine I was told that I was going to get a D in science but I worked hard along with the best help I can get and turned that D to the top mark that put me in the best set in science.
You might say that I was young and things were easy but again I failed my mocks in fact only passed two subjects for my iGCSE’s. I lacked the ability to comprehend and apply and I knew from that time that I could not waste any more time and I worked hard over the remaining years and turned those failures and passing with flying colors. I admit that it might not have the best results but I did my best to achieve what I could and I never stopped and I still do my best.I didn’t do good during my IB mocks and did not get the best predicted grade. This means a lot to many universities but I know for a fact that it’s the knowledge, failures and motivation and experiences that I have attained that is worthwhile and will carry with you all the way.
I always knew from the start of my IB syllabus that I enjoyed business, whether it’s human resources, motivation or marketing. It has always been intriguing to me and I never stopped looking and applying it to every real life situation I have been in. Life is growth and I want to take the knowledge that I have and main and grow.
Nevertheless I have never let myself let myself be that side kick, I have been an event manager, designer, group leader, participant in competitions and if there has been one thing that I have learnt through all these experiences is that I have been shown the importance of teamwork and how being motivated can lead you to the most unexpected things in life which is why I want to begin my career in business administration and learn and never stop learning and achieving everything that is possible and this is the confidence and motivation which I will never stop striving.
So yeah if you have any tips or changes you think I should make, just drop a inbox!
